Tuesday Night Men’s League
Teams participate in the Men’s Tuesday Night Golf League. Registration forms are available the Pro Shop.
Again, this year will be a split season, with first and second half seasonal winners. The winners of each half will pair off in an 18-hole match to determine the season’s champions.
The format of play each week will be a round robin, partner’s better ball match play competition. If you qualify, Gold Tees are available to utilize. Points are awarded weekly for each match and accumulate through each half of the seasons to determine the winners. A team may only win one of the season halves.
The cost for the season will be $75.00 per person, payable in cash or check. This includes prizes for weekly matches, closing tournament and seasonal awards.
The “Kick-Off” for the season is April, 20th. Golf is optional, cocktails at 6:00 p.m. with dinner (order off the menu) and a short general meeting following at 7:00 p.m. The seasonal match play schedule and league rules will be distributed that evening.
For those who cannot play on a weekly basis, you are invited to participate as a substitute. Your name and number will be included on the league roster to contact if needed. Wednesday Night Ladies’ League
The 2021 golf season is fast approaching (not fast enough for some of us) and we are looking forward to another fun season of league play. Our Ladies 9-Hole League would like to invite you to join us this year. On April 28th we will have our opening dinner meeting at 6:00 pm with Happy Hour beginning at 5:00 pm. All Golfing and Social members are invited to attend. It is a great way to meet new friends and reacquaint with old friends after the long (really long) winter months.
Our league plays on Wednesday evenings with teams making their own tee times from 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm. The league format is a partner’s better ball with handicap. We have a wide range of handicaps (from 12-40) and encourage anyone (no matter your ability) who is interested to join us. Any questions or concerns regarding league play will be addressed at the opening dinner.
If you are interested in playing, but do not have a partner, please call Ginny Hauser at 814-368-5979, Patsy Arrowsmith at 814-598-3193 or Cindy Calcagno at 814-598-1325. If you don’t wish to play full time, please consider being a substitute. Our dues for 2021 is $50.00.

Since Wednesday nights are Ladies’ Night, we would love to have any and all Pennhills women join us after golf (6 pm or so) for beverages, food and laughs. The more the merrier!! It’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends!

Thursday Men’s Golf Association
The Pennhills Club Men’s Golf Association plays weekly May through September, members and new members alike are welcome to participate. Seventeen sponsored events are scheduled with a few open dates. Open dates may be used as rain dates if needed or anyone interested and willing to sponsor or co-sponsor an event should contact John Rook for details. Weekly sponsors continue to be our driving force behind the success of the association’s program, founded some years ago, to provide a weekly fellowship for the male golfing members and guests for golf, competition, dinner, drawings and awards.
Dues for the season are $25 and will be automatically billed to your club account. If you do not want to participate, contact Melody in the accounting office (814-368-6159 ext. 2) to have your account adjusted. Members must pay the annual dues to participate in any events or to be eligible for prizes.
Each event will cost $30 per person (member or guest) to participate. This fee is payable in the Pro Shop prior to teeing off by cash, credit card or charging to your club account. The $30 covers the event fee of $5 that goes in the MGA Treasury to subsidize golf course improvements and $25 for dinner. The dinner is mandatory, if you are unable to stay, a carry-out will be provided.
As usual, sponsors will have the option to select the format of play, dinner and prizes. In following with tradition, after golf, cocktails will be served for an hour in the bar followed by dinner in the main dining room. The 50/50 raffle and perfect attendance drawings will be done during dessert which supplement the awards presentation to recognize the day’s best play.
